Born December 14, 1937, Johnson is married to Cliff Johnson. Johnson has two children: Cliff, Jr. and Garrett.

CIVIC ACTIVITIES
Johnson is a member of the Royal Oak Concerned Citizens for Better Schools, the Royal Oak Boys and Girls Club, the Michigan Association for the Prevention of Child Abuse, the Advisory Committee to Oakland County Probate Court, the Royal Oak Families in Action, and the South Oakland YMCA Advisory Board. She is chair of the Oakland County Community Development Advisory Council, a past president of the Royal Oak Republican Women's Club, a former coordinator with the March of Dimes, a former coordinator with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and a past member of the Royal Oak and Berkley PTAs..
