POLITICAL CAREER
Director Ajegba has served the Michigan Department of Transportation for 28 years. He was appointed to serve as Director by Gov. Gretchen WHITMER effective Jan. 1, 2019.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Ajegba served for three months as the Metro Region engineer and before that as the University Region Engineer.
During his seven years in the University Region, Ajegba oversaw his team's involvment in the planning, design and construction of several major projects including the U.S. 23 Flex Route - a project nominated for the America's Transportation Award.
EDUCATION
Ajegba holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Prairie View A&M University and a master's degree in construction engineering from the University of Michigan. He's a licensed professional engineer in Michigan.
