Born December 10, 1954. He currently resides in Grand Traverse County with his wife Dianne and daughter Shen.


He has served as a member of the Traverse City Area Public Schools board of education, and his community involvement includes Involved Citizens Enterprises (ICE) and the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Traverse City and the First Congregational Church.
