Robinson, Rose Mary (D)State Representative District 4
Robinson was first elected a Democratic precinct delegate in 1966. Then, in 1968, she was elected as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention. She became one of the first women ever elected to the Wayne County Commission in 1970. She was elected to six consecutive terms on the commission from 1970-1982. She won an 11-way primary to become the Democratic Party's nominee for the 4th District in 2012.
She is an accomplished lawyer and is a former attorney for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Union Council 25. She has spent the last decades, representing indigent clients.
Robinson received her law degree from Wayne State University.
Robinson raised six children. She has been inducted into the Michigan Women's Historical Center Hall of Fame.
