POLITICAL CAREER

Rep. Hoadley was first elected to the Michigan House in 2014, beating out two other Democrats in the primary election before winning the general election in the Kalamazoo based district with 70 percent of the vote.  

WORK EXPERIENCE

Rep. Hoadley was the president and owner of Badlands Strategies, a progressive strategy firm. He also managed the One Kalamazoo campaign to defend the Kalamazoo Non-Discrimination Ordinance. Rep. Hoadley had also served as Executive Director of National Stonewalls Democrats and worked for the Gill Action Fund.

EDUCATION

Rep. Hoadley graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in public policy. A South Dakota native, Hoadley graduated from Vermillion High School.

PERSONAL

Rep. Hoadley lives in Kalamazoo with his partner, Kris, and the "world’s friendliest beagle," Benjamin.

CIVIC ACTIVITIES

Rep. Hoadley served as Vice President of CARES, an HIV/AIDS Service Organization in Southwest Michigan.
