POLITICAL CAREER

Rep. Webber was first elected to the Michigan House in 2014 when he defeated two other Republicans in the 45th District GOP primary.  Webber went on to defeat Democrat Joanna VanRaaphorst with 56 percent of the vote.  

WORK EXPERIENCE

A licensed insurance agent, Webber is a former staffer to Gov. John Engler and former House Speaker Rick Johnson as well as current Sen. John Proos.  Rep. Webber served on the Rochester Hills City Council for six years, including two as vice president.  Rep. Webber served on the Rochester Hills City Council for six years, including two as vice president. 

EDUCATION

Rep. Webber graduated from the James Madison College at Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations. Michael also is a graduate of Rochester Adams High School.

PERSONAL

Rep. Webber and his wife Julia have a son, James, who was born in 2013.  The couple resides the Rochester area.  

CIVIC ACTIVITIES

Rep. Webber served as the 58th President of the Rochester Area Junior Chamber (Jaycees) where he helped deliver Easter baskets to the area seniors. He participated in Safety Town and the Christmas Shopping Tour for disadvantaged children.
