POLITICAL CAREER

Rep. Wittenberg was first elected to the Michigan House in 2014 after he defeated four other Democrats in the August 2014 primary election.  In the general election, Wittenberg defeated Michael Ryan, whom he defeated 76 to 24 percent.  

WORK EXPERIENCE

Rep. Wittenberg worked for more than nine years as a licensed life and health insurance agent, helping to enroll thousands of businesses and individuals on health insurance plans, most recently those that are compliant under the Affordable Care Act.

EDUCATION

Rep. Wittenberg graduated from Berkley High School and attended Indiana University.

A resident of Oak Park.  

CIVIC ACTIVITIES

Active in the Tri-County Coalition of Berkley, Huntington Woods and Oak Park, the Berkley Holiday Lights Parade; and the Oak Park JCC.
