POLITICAL CAREER

Sen. Dale Zorn was first elected to the Michigan Senate in 2014 after defeating former Democratic Rep. Doug SPADE by a 51 to 46 percent margin. 

He won his second term in 2018 when he defeated Democratic former Rep. Bill LaVOY with 57.8 percent of the vote.  Zorn had no primary opponent in 2018. 

Prior to being elected, Sen. Zorn served for two terms in the Michigan House of Representatives.

In the House he served as Vice Chair of the Commerce Committee and as a member on the Energy and Technology, Health Policy and Military and Veterans Affairs Committee.  

WORK EXPERIENCE

Before being elected to the Michigan Legislature, Sen. Zorn spent 20 years as a Monroe County Commissioner including four years as chair.  He is the co-owner of an auto service business with his brother.
