Rep. Tim Sneller was elected to his first term as state representative in November 2016.
After high school, Rep. Sneller start working at the Flint General Motors Truck and Assembly Plant.
After an internship in the state Senate, he began his 30-year public service career with then state Rep. Bob EMERSON and continued it by joining the staff of then state Sen. John CHERRY, later working with him during his transition to Lieutenant Governor. He also worked as legislative aide to the state Reps. Charles SMILEY, Rick HAMMEL, Lee GONZALEZ, and Brenda CLACK.

Rep. Sneller graduated from Burton Bentley high school in 1974. He later earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and a secondary teaching certification from the University of Michigan Flint in 1985.
He became an alternate committeeman and proud member of the UAW Local 589 while working at the GM plant.
