POLITICAL CAREER
Rep. Julie Alexander was elected to her first term as state representative in November 2016. In 2010, she was elected to the Jackson County Board of Commissioners, where she served three terms.
In December 2020, Rep. Alexander was one of 15 Michigan lawmakers who signed onto a lawsuit brought by the state of Texas challenging Michigan's election process in hopes of overturning President-elect Joe BIDEN's victory.
WORK EXPERIENCE
She was a middle school teacher for nine years and an adult education math and reading instructor for 13 years. Alexander and her husband currently own and operate a third-generation family dairy farm.

EDUCATION
She graduated from Northwest High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1984 from Western Michigan University.
PERSONAL
Alexander and her husband, Jeff, have four children and two grandchildren.
CIVIC ACTIVITIES
She is also a founding member and past chair of the Jackson County Cradle to Career Education Network.
