Sen. Hollier staffed former Sen. Buzz Thomas and former Sen. Bert Johnson.  He was also a liaison for Detroit Mayor Dave Bing.


He enlisted in the U.S. Army and earned a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant. He has also served in the 414th Civil Affairs BN as the S-4 Officer in Charge for the U.S. Army Reserves.


Hollier graduated from the Detroit Public School system before going to Cornell University, where he received a degree in industrial and labor relations.
