Lucido, Peter J. (R)State Senator District 8
Sen. Lucido served two terms in the Michigin House before running for the 8th state Senate district in 2018.
He won the seat by defeating Democrat Paul R. FRANCIS to win the general election with 61.76 percent of the vote. Lucido won the August 2018 GOP primary in the 8th by defeating Ken GOIKE after securing 71.7 percent of the vote.
While in the House, Lucido served as vice chair of the Law and Justice Committee and as a member of the Law Revision Commission, Financial Liability Reform, Tax Policy and Transportation and Infrastructure committees.
While in the House he worked on providing parole to medically frail prisoners.
Sen. Lucido was the founder, president and partner of one of Macomb County's largest law firms. He also founded and published the Macomb Now Magazine. He is a licensed attorney, insurance agent, realtor and security register representative.

He holds an associate's degree from Macomb Community College, a bachelor's degree in public administration and business from Oakland University, a master's degree in business from Central Michigan University and a Juris doctor from Detroit College of Law.
Sen. Lucido has been married for more than 25 years and has three children.
