POLITICAL CAREER

He was elected Nov. 6, 2018, to replace his mother, Rep. Rose Mary Robinson.  He secured 94.55 percent of the general election vote in the heavily Democratic 4th House District.

In the August 2018 Democratic primary, Robinson came out on top of a field of 16 candidates by securing 23.1 percent of the vote.

He served as legal counsel and senior advisor in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2010-13 and also served on the Detroit City Council.

WORK EXPERIENCE

He is a criminal defense attorney.

EDUCATION

He earned an undergraduate degree in general studies from the University of Michigan-Dearborn before attending Northwestern University where he completed his juris doctorate.
