POLITICAL CAREER

Rep. Ryan Berman was first elected to the House on Nov. 6, 2018 when he won 54.1 percent of the general election vote against Democrat Jennifer SUIDAN.

He came out on top of a four person GOP primary field in August with 41.3 percent of the vote.

2020 brought a signfiicant political challenge to Berman in the 39th House district in the form of Democrat Julia PULVER.  While Berman ran unopposed in the GOP primary, the Berman/Pulver matchup in the general pushed the district up to MIRS list of districts most likely to flip.  To be precise, the 39th was fourth on that list. (See "Top 10 Districts Most Likely To Flip," 10/26/2020).

WORK EXPERIENCE

Berman is an attorney and reserve police officer and previously served as a reserve deputy with the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
