POLITICAL CAREER
Rep. Manoogian was first elected to serve in the House on Nov. 6, 2018 when she defeated Republican David WOLKINSON with 56.5 percent of the general election vote.
Manoogian won out in a two-person Democratic primary defeating Nicole BEDI be taking 53 percent of the vote.
At 26, she is the youngest woman serving in the 100th Legislature and the first Armenian-American woman to serve in the Michigan House.
She began her political career as an intern for then-Congressman John DINGELL, the Council on Foreign Relations, and for Ambassador Samantha Power at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations.
WORK EXPERIENCE
She worked in the Office of English Language Programs and e-Diplomancy at the U.S. Department of State where she served with foreign and civil service officers.
EDUCATION
She earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University.
PERSONAL
She is an avid Detroit sports and Team USA fan.
