Rep. Ann Bollin was first elected to the House on Nov. 6, 2018 when she defeated Democrat Mona SHAND by securing 59.9% of the vote.
She ran unopposed in the August 2018 primary.
In 2020, Bollin ran unopposed in the August GOP primary. She easily defeated her general election opponent Donnie BETTES, 63.2% to 36.7%.
Bollin was appointed as the Brighton Township clerk in 2002 and was elected in 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016. She had previously served as a township planning commissioner.
Bollin served as the Brighton Township clerk and was nominated Township Clerk of the Year.

She atttended Central Michigan University and studied Recreational Therapy. Bollin was also a Taubman Fellow at Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program.
She and her husband, Tim, have three sons.
