Rep. Wendzel's first attempt at public office became a success when she defeated Democrat Joey ANDREWS by securing 55.6 percent of the vote.
Wendzel came out on top of a five-candidate August primary field in 2018 when she won 46.2 percent of the primary vote in the 79th House district.
Wendzel became the programs director at the North Berrien Historical Museum in 2014.
She also has worked on her family farm.
She was most recently the product brand development manager at Coloma Frozen Foods.
She served as the assistant deputy clerk for Bainbridge Township.

She is an alumnus from Watervliet High School and Michigan State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology and food industry marketing.
She has spent time counseling young children at Five Pines Christian Camp.
