Rep. Witwer is serving her first term in the House, having been elected Nov. 6, 2018 when she defeated Republican Christine BARNES by securing 50.8 percent of the vote.
Witwer took 60 percent of the primary vote in a three person August primary.
She serves as vice president of the Waverly Community Schools Board of Education and has been on the board for five years.
Witwer began her professional career in clinical health care, working first in Sparrow Hospitals burn unit and later as the manager of pediatric rehabilitation.
She left Sparrow in 2007 to co-found Edge Partnerships, an award-winning public relations, marketing and advocacy group.

She received her degree in business administration from Northwood University.
She and her husband, Bruce, have two children and four granddaughters.
She is a member of the McLaren Greater Lansing Foundation, Michigan Society of Healthcare Planners and Marketers Board of Directors, St. Gerard Church Evangelization Committee, Lansing Regional Chamber Economic Club and Volunteers of America Host Committee for Homeless No More.
