U.S. Rep. Levin is the son of former U.S. Rep. Sander LEVIN.  He is in his 2nd term. 

He is a former director of the Michigan Department of Labor & Econonic Growth under the administration of former Gov. Jennifer GRANHOLM.  He served in that capacity from 2010 through 2011.  In 2006, Levin came within 720 votes of securing a seat in the Michigan Senate.  

Recently, as president of Lean & Green Michigan, he served as a clean energy consultant.  

In 2017, Levin briefly flited with running for Michigan governor.  He served as an assistant organizing director for the AFL-CIO and as a staffer for the International Union, UAW.  


Andy married Mary Freeman in 1991.  They have four children — Koby, Saul, Ben, and Molly — and live in Bloomfield Township.
