U.S. Rep. Slotkin, is a former national security advisory under President George W. BUSH and President Barack O'BAMA.  The Democrat unseated U.S. Rep. Mike BISHOP in one of the country's most expensive races during the election cycle of 2018.

Recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency out of college, Slotkin became a Middle East analyst who spent three tours in Iraq over the course of five years.  The Holly resident returned to Oakland County, where she grew up, to run a small consulting business.

The 2021-22 117th Congress is Congresswoman Slotkin's second term and this is her first elected office.  She serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Homeland Security Committee.

Rep. Slotkin’s home is her family farm in Holly. Rep. Slotkin’s husband, Dave, is a retired Army colonel who served for 30 years as an Apache helicopter pilot. Her two stepdaughters have pursued their own lives of service, one as a physician and the other as a new Army officer.
