PREVIOUS OCCUPATION
U.S. Rep. Bill HUIZENGA, a Zeeland Republican, is serving his 6th term in Congress where he currently serves on the House Financial Services Committee. Prior to his term in Congress, Huizenga was a state representative and district director for his predecessor, former U.S. Rep. Pete HOEKSTRA.
Previous to his government service, Huizenga owned and operated a small gravel company and was a licensed realtor. A lifelong Ottawa County resident, the married father of five received his bachelor's degree from Calvin College. He faced his most competitive general election in his political career in 2018, but still won 55% to 43%.
